In the light of the above, it is quite obvious that only a stronger power could rescue humanity from demonic forces as power designate. Herein lies the preaching of the gospel as the revelation of the ‘power of God for salvation’ (Rom. 1:16), to rescue humanity from the powers of darkness. In proclaiming the gospel, the power of God is presented as a direct response to destroy the powers of darkness.
